Put-in-Bay Camporee
During our trip to the Put-in-Bay camporee, our scouts got an appreciation for the history of the War of 1812, and Oliver Hazard Perry's battle of Erie. Scouts had the ability to walk around the island and visit a Wine Cellar, a Mine, as well as many other tourist shops and restaurants. Numerous troops camped in the parade field for a weekend of fun. Individual patrols had the ability to go up the Perry Monument to see a 360 degree view of the lake. Scout took part in a service project to restore a hiking path, just a few miles from the campground.
